About Estelle

Estelle Equestrian Center for Horses sits on 46 gorgeous acres overlooking Lookout Mountain, Pigeon Mountain State Park, and the highest peaks of the southern Appalachian Great Smokies and Blue Ridge Mountains, where horses can train, play and rest. We currently have 2 open spots available to receive horses. Our luxurious rubber-matted stalls are 14 X 14 with Dutch doors opening to several acres of large lush paddocks. Available amenities include a wash stall with hot and cold water with overhead heating, a grooming stall, a tack room, and a feeding room, all equipped with overhead fans. In addition, this facility offers a fully lit outdoor riding ring (125’ X 200’) and a second outdoor riding ring slightly smaller (100X170). The entire facility is under video surveillance AT ALL TIMES.

Meet Christiane

Dr. Christiane Massicotte received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Montreal in 1994. She completed an internship program at the University of Minnesota and a residency program at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. While participating in her residency program, Dr. Christiane Massicotte concurrently earned a Master’s degree in Neurotoxicology. While at Virginia Tech, she obtained her Ph.D. and then earned her board certification as a Diplomate in Neurology at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Christiane Massicotte served as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania and has been Director of the Neurology/neurosurgery Department at Animal Emergency and Referral Associates in Fairfield, NJ, from 2005-2019, when she joined the Veterinary Care and Specialty Group in Chattanooga. She enjoys farmland, the outdoors, walking with her three Collies, riding her mares (Stella and Amber Moon), and taking her morning coffee enjoying the view with her friends.

Bedding with wood pellets and shavings cleaned twice daily
Fresh water and automatic heated waterers (in winter) in all paddocks
Quality hay
Complementary feedings included in any of our plans you choose (to be discussed).
Supplements, medication and/or electrolytes added to the feed upon request
Mineral blocks are provided in each stall
Semi-private or individual turnout in paddocks containing hay managers and automatic waterers
Sheets and turnout boots and fly masks put on and removed before and after turnout
Individual box fans in Summer
Wash stall with hot and cold water, fans and ceiling heaters
Washer/dryer, sink
Tack room
Video surveillance at all time including all buildings, stalls, paddocks and riding rings
Horse grooming 6-days/week (to be discussed)
